Our reserve collection
Statfold Narrow Gauge Railway and the Transport Museum
Transport Museum Wythall has partnered with the Statfold Narrow Gauge Railway situated just outside Tamworth, to provide the public transport element of its new road transport museum. This has allowed us to establish a small 'reserve collection' away from Wythall with a selection of our vehicles on display to the public on their open days
We have a selection of our buses, most relating to the geographical area around north Warwickshire, sitting alongside heavy trucks and light road transport in an interesting and colourful display with plenty of room for photography. This range of road vehicles offers an additional transport element to the already successful narrow gauge railway museum. A number of the buses on show will be available for passenger rides at specific Statfold events.
Using a number of its classic vehicles, Transport Museum Wythall also maintains the Statfold shuttle bus service to Tamworth station that operates on event days and is looking for volunteers who live in the Tamworth or north Warwickshire area to join our Statfold-based team to help with vehicle preparation and front of house duties such as shop sales and promotion of the Wythall museum and its collection to Statfold's visitors. Drivers holding a current PCV/CPC are also welcome to assist with driving these classic vehicles on site and on the shuttle service. If you are interested in any of these roles, please make contact at volunteer@wythall.org.uk

Transport Museum Wythall is proud to be working in partnership with the Statfold team and looks forward to helping develop the displays in future years.
