ACCREDITATION
The major news story that just missed the last edition was formal notification that the Museums & Libraries Association had conferred Accreditation status to the Museum. This is the culmination of several months of serious paperwork by the Trustees. Accreditation is effectively a national quality standard for museums.
It places more responsibilities on the Museum, such as cataloguing archives and developing education programmes, but this is work we have embarked upon already.
